360° panorama inside Odaiba, Japan's fantastic VenusFort shopping mall

VenusFort is a shopping mall designed to look like a Medieval European village, complete with fake skydome over all of the (internal) rooms. I visited this amazing place last month and stopped to take an immersive panorama. You can view it by clicking the image below (note that Flash is required.) Click and drag to rotate the view, use your scrollwheel to zoom.



The skydome completes a day/night cycle in about 40 minutes, with simulated dusk and dawn, this panorama was taken during the night part of the cycle, as people gathered for a concert with "Howie D".

This was taken freehand with a Canon 450D and the Canon 10-22mm lens, and stitched in PTGui. The panorama is displayed using the SaladoPlayer viewer. I've modified this viewer to allow it to integrate into my SmugMug gallery. I wrote a guide to adding panoramas to your own SmugMug galleries here.
