I look forward to the return of "our" loons to the lake every year. It's always nice when they pose for the camera too:D

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Thank you both! Any tips on uploading? Compared to what the image looks like on my website, 500px, even FB, the quality really went in the toilet. In Lightroom the quality is just fine after sizing the image for upload here.

What color space are you using for your uploads? The only time I had a siilar problem was when I uploaded my pics in adobe RGB instead of sRGB.

have you tried referencing the photo in your smug site instead of uploading it? (use the picture icon and supply the url)

Your repost really did make that image pop, my images looked horrible when embedded from flickr, I had been wanting to go smugmug so the fix was easy for me.

Anyway; I really like this image. Very cool with the water droplets coming off the wing tips. Curious what lens?

Thank you! I was just uploading them from my HD, in my computer illiteracy I didn't even know about grabbing the link from my site and embedding it that way. The lens was a 300f4 L on a 40D. Loved that lens, kick myself ever day for selling it. As long as I let them dictate how close I got, they were pretty accommodating. Planning on renting a 500f4 for next year:D

You're very welcome. It's amazing how much difference that makes, isn't it?

    Nice catch, beautiful shot!
