SF Chinatown: Smoking

This street stuff is tough :-) My wife and I spent two days in Chinatown for some R&R, and of course for me to get started on the Chinatown photo project. I shot ~100 images, and I'm lucky if I get two good final images. The "conversion" is perfect, as I shot real Tri-X :-)

Just developed the 4 rolls of film and made digital contact sheets. Will take a while to really process them.

This one may hold some promise:

    Ha! the real deal.

This is a tough image. It seems like the building in the back occupies too much image with the constraint of the sandwich sign in the foreground, really limits what you can do.

It could use a touch of straightening

But your angle of shot is perfect. Did you take this from your hip?

I've ordered a bullseye level (fits in hotshoe) from B&H to help me aim from the hip. I've tried and I'm all over the parking lot

Hmmm... film. Expensive and so unforgiving

Hi Rags, as you can see from the other thread, this one did not make it to the next round.

This one was shot lower down.

4 rolls of film for ~$10. development is pennies since I do my own. I got 1 to 4 keepers, so I am happy.
