Something New

I have something new and could not think of a group who would appreciate it more than here....

Santa brought me 2 new 500 Watt Soft Box lights on 7' stands, and some new black fabric.

This I shot prior to the holiday's using my traditional desk light, ambient light, handheld flashlight method.

These are awesome! Ok now to find something OLD or NEW to Light Up.

tThe newer photo is quite nice. The item deserves to be
featured under the best possible conditions. A "cryptex",
by the way, is a device "invented" by Dan Browne for his
novel "The Da Vinci Code".


Removing the white paper works better. I couldn't tell
if it was a price tag or something written on and
supposedly concealed in the cryptex.

I think you've cropped a bit too tight left and right.
It kinda crowds the image.
