Me and my little pecker

Ok get yer minds out of the gutter folks,I just wanted to show you me and a little fellow that flew into my yard the other day.

Here I am,so ok im not realy wildlife,,, but when I was younger,well thats another story.Im sure there is some birds in the trees behind me.I used my timer for this shot.You can see from this shot Mrs iceman feeds me very well,course the camera adds about 50 lbs.

Here is my little pecker,well not realy mine but you get the idea.I think its a downey woodpecker.

    Your little pecker...
    ...is Hairy not Downy (oh, my!). Both look very similar but the Hairy has a longer beak and is slightly larger.

    Hi Steve,that spot is one of my more favorite spots to go mainly because im usualy the only one around for miles.Two weeks ago the place was full of geese and swans,now it's empty.Thanks for the kind words...ice
