I've come back to this thread a few times without commenting, and I think #2 just keeps growing and growing on me. Nice shot, and a clever theme!

I like them both, Ben. That's a cute kid. He's not much as a street shot, but the backlight and flare in his hair make a good picture. The first one is a pretty good street shot: Where is she going? Is she going far with that load on her head and the pack on her back? Did you scan it backwards on purpose? The fact that her wristwatch is on her right arm might mean she's left-handed, but people don't normally wear a wedding ring on their right hand.

I like the way you expressed yourself on this post, putting these two shots together and your words.

Many Europeans wear wedding bands on their right hand. And further viewing at a larger image size reveals it to be less of a wedding band and more of a class ring.

Jesus H. Christ. "it's not much as a street shot?" Give it a rest, will you. Will it eventually hang in the MOMA with your work? Probably not. But is it a lovely little image of life on the street? Absolutely. And that means it is a street photo.
