Having a little trouble getting into this theme. Any of these strike a chord?

I like the old boat best, but I think I'd like it better if there were more focus put onto the old small boat by itself, if that makes sense?

I like the Flag, but maybe at a different angle would be better.

I wonder about the first one in a "I meant to do that" high key B&W?

Yes. What do you think? I think the little boat is really interesting, but the big white sky distracts from it for me. Might be better in the B&W. (?)

I like the rope the best. I love the detail, and just seeing enough of the detail in the background to give context.

Yep, I do like the b&w better, but the sky really is a problem - which is unfortunate, as I think the boat has some real promise. As I first mentioned, I'm not thrilled with any of the options... I may take the next week and see what else I can find.

    Thanks, Kate...
I spent the morning wandering around San Diego Harbor. Unfortunately it was foggy/overcast and I found this pile of rope across the bay from Coronado Island Naval Base. As in the other photos, I'm distracted by the lack of interesting detail in the sky and water.

I really liked the boat the best of the 3.
