How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

    Oh Jeff....
It is a great shot. Here it is with shadow/highlight applied.

It's very spectacular if you remove the background and make it high key!

Jeff - nice shot but, no offense, OK? is it a little dark? could it benefit from a little brightness/contrast tweak?

Very pretty Jeff. The background is a little dark, and I like Dee's background suggestion, but every other aspect is great.

    Birds of Paradise
They're a great flower, we're going to Box Hill this weekend to take some shots of them in a garden. The giant variety photograph well too, they are just green and yellow (without the orange/blue colours) but really striking. I think the every-year system is neat - we do the same with one of our roses that has been with us for four house-moves over the last 10 years.

now if I understand this my picture is ok but my background sucks --is this about right ne_nau.gif and it needs some brightness --well well umph.gif --:D DEE i like what you did and yours does look better thumb.gif Ben yes black would be better ne_nau.gif ric not to sure about the blue /green tho but my PS skills are very bad and if I knew how I think all of you are very right the background would be better someother color . thank you all very much This is one of my favorite things and to find one ,like this one that is clean and has great color is not easy .Possum when you go shooting you will see they are great to shoot -advice take a backdrop with you of some kind to give a better background .Good luck and I will be looking for your shot :): thanks all for looking and caring enough to give my shot some help thumb.gif

I think it is a very nice photo, Jeff! And the background doesn't bother me at all. I think that kind of thing is up to the artist.:D
