Since I'm just getting started here at DGrin, I thought I'd let everyone see some of the stuff I got earlier in the year. Please let me know what you think and how I could improve my technique. Always looking to learn.

Loving the church shot with the falls in the background - it's a great angle/perspective.

Gotta love that place, I worked there that summer. Upvote for the church shot, the other ones sorta meh but that's not your fault. Much of Yosemite "dramaticness" comes from the weather (bad weather or dramatic clouds is always the best), and the time of day (golden hours at sunrise and sunset). The seasons also contribute a lot, in the Spring everything comes alive, in the Fall everything gives that nice Autumny color which I really can't describe, in the Winter everything is covered with a quiet, peaceful, pristine blanket of snow, and in the Summer millions of visitors decide to visit and we all know what that looks like.

The weather really did play havoc with me all week. If it wasn't completely blue cloudless skies, the it was low, flat and uniform gray. The most interesting the skies ever for was when I took the shot from Valley View, just as a storm was rolling over the top. Within five minutes we had sleet and rain and you couldn't see across the valley floor.

nice set of images. sky was very plain there during my 3-day trip last autumn. it is definitely not easy to see clouds there. crowds, yes. :D
