On The Ledge!

Ok, so I decided to face my fears and walk out onto this ledge of rocks in Big Sur. Crazy, I know. I was inspired by an awesome Windows 7 desktop image of a Hawaiian scene from a reef/ledge with water pouring off it. Every time I look at that image I ask myself if I was there would I be willing to get down there to take the shot? I'm still not sure. Only problem this day was that there was a huge swell in the water! So I was aprehensive for good reason. I carefully snapped a few shots off before getting the heck off the thing and getting completely blasted!

Somehow I don't think this was as gnarly as Big Sur this day.

Nice shots, Derek. I like #2 because of the softer water, but the splash in #1 is pretty dynamic! Hope your camera avoided the spray!
