Colin, those are small feather-like wind flags. This shot was taken in the back yard at the home of my Sister-in-law and her husband, around 8:30 or 9:00 AM.

How long was the window during which you could get that effect? A minute or two?

Thanks Doob, my focus point was somewhere just left of the large double-fork foreground tree. To get a decent depth of field, my AP was set @ 7.1 and I let the AF do it's thing.

Thanks Allan, The temp. was around 40º and the fog had just started to lift. If I had been 3 or 4 minutes later, the image would have been lost.
