Letting the days go by/let the water hold me down
Letting the days go by/water flowing underground
Into the blue again/in the silent water
Under the rocks and stones/there is water underground.

Closer, different angle, and several years earlier.

This is a very pleasant photo Walter. The clouds are so serene and calming. Quite different than your desert shots! :D

Thanks Eia. One of the challenges in this particular location has been to make it look like desert instead of a lake or seashore. The salt is really misleading and looks like wave action or foam to many. It is very different from my usual desert work as you mention. Here I've taken three shots taken over a minute or two and sandwiched them together. Initially there were was a lenticular cloud which sort of seemed like a stack of plates sliding down and apart. At the point of the first shot I thought it'd be cool to try a time-lapse-type image- then the song came into my head. I've studied the hydrology of the area off and on over the years of my visits. There's quite a bit of water underground in this parched environment. Going for surreal.
