Thanks everyone.
I have never replaced a background on a portrait....not that I am opposed to it.
Evening light from behind and softbox from above frame left.

Haha, I am a none believer. But first of all I woud like to say that this is a great shot or shots.
I believe that this is studio work (the model) and then cutt to a back-ground. The light and DOF looks a bit odd in that respect. I can be wrong, and it does not matter anyhow it still stays a nice shot.

zoomer is just waaaay to lazy in his post processing to do that. trust me. lol. if it takes more than 3 minutes to edit he will toss it.
Perhaps it has to do with the jpg compression, but there's something about the image that just doesn't look right to me. I suppose it could be the result of the backlighting, but my initial impression was that the model had been extracted. Well it wasn't, so what is it that's bugging me? Look at the triangle between her legs and the edge of her jeans on her left (CR) leg. Maybe it's just way oversharpened. Do you see what I'm referring to?

Icebear,
Do you mean that what appears to be a barely visible shadow line in the areas you mentioned....I don't see it anywhere else. No clue what that is.
If I think about it I will look at the large unshrunk down version when I get home and see if it is there.
Possibly she was slightly moving her hips as I shot.
For those of you less familiar with my work I do often take pics that have a hint of "pasted in" to them. Slightly underexposed backgrounds, ambient from behind the subject and use of off camera flash combined with extreme thin depth of field will do that.
This HAS to be fake - if you're in Idaho, where's the snow??? HUH?? It's January! you can't fool us! Nice try!

Sorry, gotta ask. Did you replace the BG?

Great shot, Zooms. I'm not crazy about her hair and makeup (personal taste), but it's photographically stunning!
