A Bit of Rust and More

I went out for a shoot on Friday morning, hoping to find a few rusty bits and an old post office I'd seen on the Web. I also found a new old restaurant and got a nice tour of the place by the owner. He'd seen me outside taking shots and came out to say hello. The menu looked great, but it was not meal time so I'll have to go back. :D

Hope you enjoy these. C&C always welcomed.

Lauren

    Hey Lauren,

I love #4 clap.gif. Looks like the eyes on the love child of an owl and a post. lol3.gif #2 and #3 have some possibilities, but I would experiment with some alternate crops--I think less might be more in these. #5 is not showing up for me. headscratch.gif

Boy, Lauren, these are really good. You're showing some real talent at shooting rust. You've learned to let the sliders fly....and that's critical to being a true RUST JUNKIE. Keep it up.

Thanks, gentlemen! I appreciate the tips and the encouragement. Richard, did you ever see #5?

Tom, you're right about those sliders. :D

Nope. It looks like a valid link, but doesn't return anything. Could it be in a password protected gallery? headscratch.gif

I reloaded #5 and logged out and could see it. It's in the same gallery as the others above. PLMK if it finally shows. :D

Ceci - I am having fun. I am frustrated with both my landscape ops and my efforts, so I decided to concentrate on rust and abstracts for a while. Hope to get some landscape shots next month on return to Maine--hoping for snow! :D

    Richard, glad it worked.

    We've created a monster!!! Well done clap.gifclapclap.gif
    clap.gif

Lots of creative potential with hues, saturation etc. Having said that #1 and #5 don't quite make it. But the rest...

Thanks, Juano! I always secretly wanted to be a monster! mwink.gif I will play with these more and post results. I agree with you about #1 but I still like #5. I think it's funny, showing a bench as a parking space. But as I said to blackmamba--"Great minds differ" and especially about art.

    Cheers,
