NIKKOR AF-S 85mm, f1.8G
The Nikkor AF-S 85mm, f1.8G was also just released:

While it's gotten upstaged by the Nikon D4 announcement, it is likely to be a very welcome addition to the Nikkor lineup. Biggest advantage is the Built-In Motor technology, allowing this lens to be used on "any" modern Nikon camera (unlike the screw-drive "D" version before.)

That is good news ! I use for the moment a Carl Zeiss 85mm , f1.2 for Nikon FF camera's. It is one hell of a lens . However it is a manual focus with no aids. Hence this new Nikkor AF-S 85mm, is more then welcome.
Have any tests been done with it ?
There are no reviews on the lens yet, but Nikon has published MTF charts for both the "D" version and this new "G" version:
"D"

"G"

From these charts it appears that the two are more similar than different, with the newer lens slightly better sharpness across the image field and slightly more consistent contrast. The new lens is also slightly larger in both diameter and length, but it weighs slightly less.

Those are some pretty sexy curves! That f/1.4 felt a little overweight anyways... ;-) I feel like I need to have a few pick-up lines ready before I get this lens, though!
