A trip to the island of Sandhamn during the 2010/2011 winter revealed the sea had almost completly frozen over. The harbour itself was barely operational. The trip took several hours to and fro, and operated mid morning (from Stockholm) with a late afternoon's return. Having only a few hours on the island, I managed to expose two sheets in the -20 degrees weather before my fingers numbed down. I then planned to come back better prepared the following year. Unexpectedly, this year's winter has turned out to be quite mild. Fearing I may have missed my chance, I am posting the images captured on that trip, even though I am not quite satisfied with the composition or lighting.

Nice! I especially liked the ice patterns in the first shot!

These are both really nice. The clarity and depth of field are just superb, and I know that with a 4x5 negative you blow these up huge. Really nice work. bowdown.gif
