This is a straight photo, honest! It was a goodly distance with my 400 mm,
across Shem Creek. I saw the shrimper boy on his crutches, grabbed the picture, took about three. I didn't even see the birds...... a heron on a post and a small white egret in the background.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

That red bird has some funny looking legs, Ginger. Nice capture of a very unusual bird. Is that the infamous limpgimp walker ? I hear they like seafood and steak. rolleyes1.gif

Ben, Jeff, Harry, Birdman....................... thank you so much for stopping and commenting.

After mornings of waking up at 5 AM, would you all believe I slept til 11 this morning, just woke up!

Harry, it works for me, too! Jeff, I did, I will admit it, I shot him! Birdman, thanks for IDing my bird! I will have to write that one down. Gotta get a new bird book, hate to spend the money, but I don't know the easy ones anymore. Maybe that is why I am not seeing them.

On, the pole, Ben, boy am I getting a lot of comments on that pole. My friends, et al.

I don't mind the pole at all. I have about 5 photos of the "boy" walking there, except he is not positioned as well in some of them: in my opinion. Also, this is just my humble opinion: without the pole the photo loses something. I don't think the pole is centered, but I am not sure. I guess it is just one of those things, like blur, you either like it, or you don't.

I do not know how I handheld that lens, that early, at that distance, wide open, but I will check out the other photos to see if there is blur. If not, I will work one up w/o the pole.

Thanks again, loved your comments! Even the pole gives me something to think about. I love the red colors on the strange looking bird, cool that he did that for me, smile.
