Got this message from Google "Your site returned an error when requested for robots.txt." first time i have seen this message ............???? Joe

Hi Joe,

That's likely just a temporary glitch that you can ignore as Google will try again at a later time and the message should disappear the next time Google retries. There's nothing to worry about.

After ten hours i am still getting the message "Your site returned an error when requested for robots.txt." also according to the Google the sitemap has had a timeclock beside it all day yeat when i click on http://www.niphotos.co.uk/robots.txt it seems ok , any explanation here ?? Joe

Hi Joe, there's nothing different we're doing with robots.txt and google - I'm sorry they are still giving you the error message. Perhaps it's still a temporary thing at Google?

and up until now all has been ok .........seems similar to the problem reported by Rashbrook on in November 2010.......... Joe

Thanks Andy , just to let you know that since i joined again three odd weeks ago , my images and galleries have been showing up on the search engines at an enormous rate and i am reall pleased at the ratings and views i have been getting ...Joe
