Old wallpaper? Dr. Suess trees?

Nope. I found these crazy ice designs in my driveway yesterday morning. Very beautiful in real life. Processing them has given me fits, though. The colors were so subtle and the contrast was so low that trying to give it some light and definition without blowing it out has been a chore.

Very interesting shots. I can see how processing could be hard... been there, not that I can offer advice.

It's easy enough to increase the contrast in these--just raising the black point will do most of the job. But I like the soft quality they have as is. I never would have guessed that they are ice. Old wallpaper seems about right. Nicely seen and captured.

It really does look like old wallpaper, especially #2. Might make a nice screen background.
