Smugmug slow performance (at least in Germany).

Loading one of my (and otheres) thumbnail gallery pages (smugmug style) takes between 10 and 20 seconds.
That is way too long for my taste. Does anybody else has this issue?

BTW: My internet connection is pretty pretty fast.

Have you done SM's speed test?

SM has a content delivery network (cdn) that's pretty good. I was recently in India with a fairly slow connection and things popped up as quickly as they do in the US.

Looking at a couple of your galleries, they're coming up fast. The first gallery did load a bit slower at first, but that may have been an older one that hadn't been viewed in a while.
Note that I'm also in Germany using a residential connection.
Can you try it again?

Does it make a difference how often my gallery is viewed?
My galleries are not for a wide audience. Just sharing with a few friends. But that of course should be quite fast.

I'll try again tomorrow. Maybe the net is having a bad day.

The speeds look good, but that ping time is a bit slow. If there's 10 back and forth connections between your system and SM, 158*10=1580 or 1.5s. That could be a part of it.
