I posted this in "other cool shots" but wanted to share with this group too. CC's welcome!

Damn it looks cold! The short exposure must have been a blessing, don't think I would want to wait out there to create a(nother) startrail photo. I like how that cloud nestles itself into the shoulder of the mountain, what is the glow from? Was just wondering how it would look with a bit more cropped off the right hand side, the rise of the slope on the right which eventually extends past the edge of the mountain on the right kind of creates a line that leads out of the frame. What would it look like if you cropped it in from the right just to the of edge of the tree standing at the junction of the rising foreground and the falling slope of the righthand side of the mountain. Not sure if any of that was in anyway comprehendible or even, if it was, that it would be helpful!

Thanks for looking and the suggestion. That night was almost full moon and the snow was reflecting the moonlight.

I hope, one day, some of you will look at a pic I capture with the same "Gol'durnit, that's spectacular, I wish I could capture images like that" thoughts I had looking at this.
