For the Angles or Shapes challenge, I'm working with a
couple of antique "objets d′art" around the house: a vase
and piecrust bowl. Both have curved shapes and colors
I like. Rather than the whole piece, I've gone for a crop
of part of each.

Comments, critques, preference?

    Tony,

I really like the first one a lot. The yin-yang division of the pink and blue sections (vase and background) are really striking. The applique items on the vase offer context without being in your face about it (still a sense of the abstract) and the overall color palette is wonderful. clap.gif

I like #1, too. I just wish the image was bigger when you click on the 'full size' link.

I just chose a small link for the forum post. Here's a larger version:

It's cropped to 1200 x 1800 pixels, but I can crop to any size.

I also like the first one a bit better for this challenge...the curved shape is lovely and the blueberries/leaves add just the right amount of interest. The second photo is nice, too, but the first fits the challenge better.

BTW, this is the entire vase. I thought cropping to just
the section shown conveys "Shapes" better.
