It's been a while since I have posted, but it's not because I haven't been shooting. I acquired a Nikon D2X over the summer. Below is a photo taken on Mount Desert Island in August. The lens is a Nikon 70-200 f/2.8 VR. Any comments are appreciated.

The island isn't really that large. Neither is the lighthouse. No one lives on the island now. There is a nature cruise out of Bar Harbor that goes out near the island, but does not land. The island is usually covered with sea birds and harbor seals.

My wife and I vacation on MDI every summer. We love it! I'll be anxious to see your photos. National Geographic has a story about Fall in Acadia National park with fabulous photos. It makes me want to find time to up there to see (and photograph) the fall colors.

We live in Bloomsburg, PA. My wife is a professor at Bloomsburg University. I taught as an adjunct at the university for a while, but I'm VP of IS at a regional credit union now. It cuts in to my photography time, but allows me to buy nice equipment. clap.gif

My favorite place to shoot around here is Ricketts Glenn - lots of waterfalls. I'll post one or two of my favorites.
