Hey harry...you started it !

Got some better afternoon sun on the sacred kingfisher & a bit closer...thats kingfisher harry

The little Red Backed wrens were everywhere but they only let you get 30 odd feet away so its a big crop. They are seriously maybe 1 1/2" tall.

    :DGus Gus Gus! Looks like a good weekend! The Wren is awesome!! And your kingfisher!!:jawdrop swamphens are gorgeous but the noise they make drives me insane :giggle

    How's the weather been up your way? We had a cracker of a storm here yesterday. (Did you see my lightning post?)

    I really love that wren on the barb wire...They are all very very nicethumb.gifclap

    Wow you lucky dog you........is it just me or what???? how come almost every bird, or animal I photograph in Australia is either Black, White, Brown, Grey, or variations of all four ne_nau.gif it aint fair I tell you rolleyes1.gif

    Those Kingfishers are beautiful Gus, I saw a few up Darwin way many years ago, and gosh have those Purple birds got some colour or what nod.gif
    Well Mate, you did way better on finding the colourful birds than I did :D

    No i didnt see it RM but will have a butchers right now. How sad is this...its 4.45am & im getting ready to hop on my bike & head back to the common.

    Yep...closer to the sacred by maybe 20 feet (still 40 away) but it made a huge difference..thanks steve. He is not a big bird...maybe 6".

    Good shots Gus especially the kingfisher. This one is a lot sharper than the one you posted earlier.

    Thanks harry....i got some more this morning. That might do me for a few weeks as i dont want to get birded out.
