Got some better afternoon sun on the sacred kingfisher & a bit closer...thats kingfisher harry




Lots of Purple Swamphens




Low flying duck




The little Red Backed wrens were everywhere but they only let you get 30 odd feet away so its a big crop. They are seriously maybe 1 1/2" tall.

I really love that wren on the barb wire...They are all very very niceclap

Wow you lucky dog you........is it just me or what???? how come almost every bird, or animal I photograph in Australia is either Black, White, Brown, Grey, or variations of all four it aint fair I tell you

Those Kingfishers are beautiful Gus, I saw a few up Darwin way many years ago, and gosh have those Purple birds got some colour or what
Well Mate, you did way better on finding the colourful birds than I did

No i didnt see it RM but will have a butchers right now. How sad is this...its 4.45am & im getting ready to hop on my bike & head back to the common.

Yep...closer to the sacred by maybe 20 feet (still 40 away) but it made a huge difference..thanks steve. He is not a big bird...maybe 6".

Skip you know everythings better in QLD I really want that sacred KF up a lot closer. What a pity he wont eat bread & honey like a rainbow lorikeet.
