Great Shot! The rust looks like wood to me, and that is certainly a lizard we don't see out here in the west.

Good grab, Tony. That's some serious rust....looks like those " rusticles " that hang off the sides of the Titanic.

I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.

The anole is on a unfinished metal sculpture at Crealde Art Center. It's genuine rust.

Anoles are in the lizard genus. Some people call them chameleons because
they adapt their color to their surroundings. This one will change to a darker
brown if he stays in that location for long.

During mating season, the males blow out their necks in a huge, colorful
bubble to attract females. They are all over the place here in Florida.
"Black Mamba" probably has several shots of anoles in his archives, but
his are resting on expensive classic automobile coachwork.

We love anoles. They eat mosquitos.
