Photo height and width formatting ratio

Hello,
I'm trying to standardize my photos to fit within a maximum common height or width of 1024x676. So the viewer is always presented with either a common photo width or height

For example: The first photo on my 'link' page is 1024x676

PROBLEM: (SEE SECOND photo in GALLERY) Using LightRoom to export into SM - when I resize this photo to height : 676px... the final SM imported photo is resized to height 800x592px - not 676px

Why is this happening?

    Hi Richard,
I'm assuming you're viewing your gallery in SmugMug style with the thumbnails on the left and a larger photo on the right. You can see a screenshot of it here:
    http://help.smugmug.com/customer/portal/articles/93247-our-viewing-styles
The larger photos are automatically displayed in a size that fits your browser window / screen resolution without scrolling. If you have photos with different aspect ratios, you may get photos displayed in different display sizes.
If you want to see a photo larger, you can click on the large photo to open it in Lightbox view. That'll show the photo in the largest size that'll fit in the browser window without you having to scroll.

We do offer different display sizes for each photo depending on the size you upload a photo in. For details on the different display sizes we offer, you cau take a look at this page:
