Forum Embed Links Break After Moving Gallery to Sub-cat?

I embed a few images from my gallery in my writeups. I'll typically do this before moving the gallery to a sub-category. From what I recall, the embeded links would still work even though the url wouldn't have the sub-category in it.

Well, just recently, it seems this changed. I embeded some images in my writeup here:
http://www.huntsvillecarscene.com/calendar.php?do=getinfo&e=2441&day=2011-9-25&c=1

And they don't open in the lightbox. :scratch If you examine the source code for the page, you'll see that these urls don't have the sub-category 'Events' in them, which is where the gallery is now located. Is this why the links are broken now? My guess is this missing sub-category combined with the new imageId/key on the browser url is somehow an issue. :dunno

Thoughts? Anyone else experience this?

    Hi,

Like Allen, I was able to open them up in Lightbox in Chrome, IE9 and Firefox, here. Chrome was the only browser I was logged in to.

You may have cached the old link. Try clearing your browser cache, and see if that solves the problem for you.

Hmmm...strange. Which ones have worked for you? The one I've been trying is the interior picture of the Audi R8. I've used two different computers and it only goes to the first image in the gallery vs the embedded image in a lightbox. headscratch.gif

I've been able to confirm the same problem in this thread:
    http://www.huntsvillecarscene.com/showpost.php?p=60587&postcount=1505

I took the link out of the post and it works when directly placed in the browser. headscratch.gif Thoughts?

Just to be sure, these are the steps?

    1. Copy embed from the gallery
    2. Post into blog
    3. Moved the gallery to a sub-category
    4. Blog post won't open in LB in IE

Correct, but this doesn't affect all embeds. The ones with the orange car were done in the exact same manner and have no problems. headscratch.gif
