Very effective capture, good color. I wished the paerture had been stepped down a tad so that the subjects bottom was as sharp as the head area.

DOF was partly lighting conditions but mostly to draw the viewers attention to the birds colorful head

I miss those little guys. They were about the only thing that stuck it out all winter in Fairbanks. More DOF would work better IMO.
