Scrim & Diffusion Panels

I'm curious if anyone has any experience with products like the Scrim Jim or Lastolite SkyLite. I want a very durable scrim & diffusion panel frame system. I do not want to worry about a little gust of wind or a clumsy PA hitting the frame and having it fall on the subject. I'd like it to fly up in the air hands free and rock solid.

Anything else I should look at?

Any scrim or reflector will "sail" in even surprisingly little wind. The larger the surface area, the greater the problem.

There are very expensive systems designed for Hollywood productions, if you are looking for the best. Otherwise just plan on having an assistant or two for larger devices.

Scrims and reflectors can be DIY, allowing you to build it to your standards and expected use. You can add tie-downs and weight bags or even sand bags and auger anchors.

California Sunbounce is another company that produces products you may wish to consider.
