Landscape portraits

Not sure if they are really portraits but I like having pictures of people in some of my landscape shots. Here are a few from this past weekend.

all great captures, especially like the 1st and 4th...having a person in the photo adds a lot of perspective and makes it more interesting

Thanks for the comments and I agree that having a person adds perspective and another point of interest.

PappyRoot- thanks for the kind words. The last shot was taken in the famous Upper Antelope Slot Canyon in Page AZ. It is a pay site but is worth the money to go a time or two. If you do go you will need to book a photographer's tour to have a couple hours in the canyon.

I really like #3. The vastness and beauty of Lake Powell are perfectly captured here.

I occasionally like to put people in my landscapes as well. It's usually my wife hiking away from me in the distance. Like others have said it adds a sense of scale and perspective. Nice.

Maybe this would be a good subject for an ongoing thread..... "Person in a Landscape".
