Strange things in the woods

I was having a pleasant winter walk in a closeby forest, and then I encountered those things.
I have no clue what they are or how they got there. Ugly as hell and yet appealing.

    Whatever it is, it looks like it could be converted into an iron lung; or a still, or a blower-upper, or all of those combined.

    Cool find. I can't help but wonder if they were likely someone's convenient dumping of equipment that should have gone elsewhere.
