Getting Rid of smu.gs

In the help documentation is states "You can opt for shortened links to save space on your posts, or keep them full-sized to take advantage of our great NiceNames feature." here:
http://help.smugmug.com/customer/portal/articles/93255-share-on-social-sites

And it tells you how to adjust the setting here:
http://help.smugmug.com/customer/portal/articles/93323-your-control-panel

But how to do you shut them off so it goes back to using nicenames links? My fb activity looks dead now that it doesn't recognize my domain name in links.

You can find the setting in the share screen. Just click on the "advanced settings" that are showing in the bottom left of the share screen. Check out the "advanced settings" section here for more details:

I see that now, but how do I remove the option for people to use shortened urls? It's actually hurting my fb activity feed since my domain name isn't in the shortened link.

Set up a bit.ly pro account and use your own shortener, we have an option to add that in your control panel.

But that would present the same problem because fb would then look at the bit.ly (or whatever) url. :cry

Is there no way around this? I was going to build a widget around the activity feed, but if people are using shortened links vs regular ones, then the activity feed looks empty.

Not as far as I know, Samir. You use our shortener, or your own. Or you disable the shortener by disallowing easy sharing (probably not what you want). There may be a JS was to hide that option from the share menu, you could ask in Customizing Forum.

Yeah, I still want to keep easy sharing, but I didn't think about customization. clap.gif I'll do some searches there! Thank you Andy. thumb.gif

I don't know what's changed, but the proper domain is now showing in the Facebook activity feed plugin. ne_nau.gif
