First the Good news. This Software works: http://grauonline.de/cmsimple2_6/en/?Solutions:HD_Video_Repair_Utility
This is NOT recovery Software. There is plenty of that out there and free!
The Story.
After planning a shoot for a Dance concert, three Cameras, three angles and three 16GB Lexar Pro 400X Cards, with spares of course, I ended the night with one file corrupted on one card.
I felt I needed that file/video.
I began working on it a bit last night. Got further today beginning at about 10 a.m. and have just finished the recovery process with the above Software.
I worked my way into Hex-Editors and actually found the problem. I also found a piece of software that I think would eventually allow me to repair the file, but continuing with my Forum Searches I found the above software, which probably shortened my work on this by at least another day.
They have a demo mode, so if their stuff doesn't work, there'll be no reason to buy it!
You may never have need for this software type. But you may want to bookmark it just in case.
Cheers,
