Hi, I have just returned from a trip to Tasmania - had a great time. This shot is early(ish) in the morning at a small community called Franklin, 50kms south of Hobart on the Huon River. I was looking forward to some sunshine, but I think the cloud has added a nice soft look to it.
Thanks for looking in - C&C always appreciated.
Cheers, Richard.

Hi, thank you very much for your comment, I'm glad you liked the shot. Two minutes later someone rowed past in a small boat and the reflections (as well as the serenity) were lost. Cheers, Richard.
Hi Tom, thank you for looking in and your comment. I'm falling in love with this area - it is such a peaceful place. Cheers, Richard.
Hi, thank you for looking in and your positive feedback. I have learnt a lot from this shot - as I said earlier - I was hoping for some early morning sunshine and was disappointed by the dull skies which almost stopped me from taking my camera out of its bag - but dull can be good. Cheers, Richard.
Hi, I did do a B&W version which I was quite happy with - but obviously I lost the colour of the wood on the boats which to me was part of the 'story'. These boats were anchored just offshore from a small boat yard that makes these types of boats by hand using Huon / Celery Top / King Billy pine and Myrtle (all local timber) - hence my choice to stick with colour. Here is an interesting link about one of their recent 'launchings' ...

Hi, glad you liked this shot - here is the B&W version.
Cheers, Richard.
As also mentioned, the original is mostly monochromatic and subtly colored anyway. JMHO.
Perhaps if I had never seen the original........
