Nice balance of red to the left and red to the right. I like the
dog's position and indifference to the lady. At first, I thought
the dog was off sulking, and then I saw the leash.
Oh be still me Heart, did you say "Selective Color" , no Richard didn't did he
I got beat up enough for my bus shot a few years ago that I never did another one. Interestingly, it's one of the few shots I have ever sold. Go figure.
That's a nice shot.... If only the dog was facing the other direction. [sigh]
I love this forum! So many different views on the same thing.
The separation of the dog from the dog's (assumed) owner is one of
the things that appeals to me about this shot. It ties the image
together.
In another thread, an image is criticized for not
having something else going on....there's a man in the street on the streetcar
tracks but no streetcar.
Here, we have "something else" going on...a indifferent looking lady, a red
door, and an dog that has turned its back on its (assumed) owner. A package.

Interesting take Tony.... I hadn't made the connection between the lady and the dog. Rather, I assumed the dog's owner was in the Licorice shop. lol....

Interesting, indeed. But your guess is as good as mine--I came upon the scene as is and didn't stay around long enough to find out who the owner was. If I had to guess I'd say somebody else, but who knows?

Nah, just life imitating Photoshop.

And your bus shot was actually quite clever I thought.

Heresy, life is nothing without Photoshop.
