DSS #94 - angles

Long story, but this started as a black light project that just didn't work, but I decided I liked what I was getting with regular lighting.

I am kind of thinking I like #1 best, but #2 has an appeal to me too.

Names... Flexible Color? Bright Corners? I am blank...

Opinions? Good, bad, scratch the whole thing? I would appreciate any thoughts on it. I have been so focused on this idea all week, I haven't really seen anything else. This is probably my one subject.

    Fun and unique take on theme. Of these I like #3 although I'm distracted by the pink straw going off the frame left. I like this composition overall because it looks like a "bouquet" of straws and I like seeing a bit more of the "stem" . #1 would be my second choice. GP

    Thanks Greta, I did that on purpose hoping to not have it looking quite so centered. I re-cropped it and left the straw on top and side in the pic. Is this better?

    What a fun idea, I like number one the best. Perhaps you should 'draw straws' to decide which to enter. rolleyes1.gif

    #1 has a lot of energy but feels a bit chaotic or busy to me. I prefer #4 but wouldn't mind having a little cropped off the right. Fun idea!

    I am liking #4 too. I thought I wanted it going out of the frame like it did in 3, but I am really liking this.
    I will try cropping the right and see how I like it.

    I asked some friends for name suggestions and got some creative and funny suggestions. Then I came up with one myself. I won't do that again. Too many good choices to choose from.

    I like #1 the best too. It has an abstract feel that sucks you in (sorry, I couldn't resist). The yellow straw in the middle, positioned so you are looking down the barrel, really anchors the shot.
