In addition to the replacement that Andy mentions, I enjoy having Picasa on all of my machines. It is a lightweight application that installs on Windows, Mac and Linux machines. It supports many camera RAW files, as well as most bimap files (JPG, BMP, etc.)

If you have a SmugMug account, you can also add a SmugMug button to Picasa to help automate uploading images to SmugMug.

While Picasa may not replace the functions of PICNIK, it's an excellent addition to any computer (IMO).

I always felt like the "idiot" too, but I tried Photoshop Elements and I love it. Like any editing program, it has a learning curve, but not like the more heavy duty Photoshop programs. Try one of the Elements online for free and see what you think. :)

Wow! A legal page I can read in one sitting with out falling asleep or requiring a team of lawyers to explain to me. In fact, it even made me snicker once or twice. You can't be in USA, right?

I recently acquired an eReader from Sony that had a 140+ page legal advisory. I crossed my fingers, used the Search function to ensure there was no first child clause, and daubed holy water on my forehead before clicking on the "Yes" button for that one.

I digress.... nice job on the site.
