If this is for the Canon 60D body, and if you are looking for flashes that use the Canon optical wireless protocol and cooperate with the 60D as the "Master/Commander", there are several which should work.

Basically any of the Canon EX series flashes that support the Canon wireless protocol as slave should work. That means the Canon 580EX/580EX II, the 420EX/430EX/430EX II and even the older 550EX will slave.

I also use the Sigma DG Super series flashes, with the Canon E-TTL II capability, as remote slaves for the Canon wireless protocol. While they are not quite as durable as the Canon flashes, and they use a different user interface, they are still a very good value. I have 4 - Sigma DG Super flashes and only 1 - Canon 580EX, and I'm very happy with the performance of the Sigma flashes. (Yes, the "DG Super" designation is important, and yes, you must get the Canon E-TTL II compatible version.)

Many of the above flashes also have a manual mode of operation, so they can also be used as slaves in a radio master/slave setup, with potentially greater range and reliability outdoors. (The Canon wireless works best indoors where there are white surfaces for the optical signals to reflect, in my experience.) Relatively cheap radio wireless sets can be very enabling.

Sigma is a godd option, I'd also look at Nissin and Metz flahses. Nissins also feature optical slave modes, which I like because I can even use a flash like that off camera with my point-and-shoot camera.

The Sigma DG Super series flashes also have a simple optical slave mode. Yes, I find occasional use for that feature. (It is not a "digital" optical slave however, so it will not sync with a camera/flash that uses a pre-flash technology.)

oh, i didn't know that about sigmas. it can be used in a manual setup then, but not in TTL, which is also handy.
i find it fun to let my friends to use my flash with their p&s camera and compliment their "regular" shots with a bit of a professional touch :)
