Yippie! John is BACK! This is the kind of stuff I'm used to seeing from you!!!!

Love two and three except for the armpit staring at me.

Five and six are quite nice also!

After getting shut out on one and not so great on the second indoor, I was nervous about losing my outdoor touch. Thank you Mr. Sun. wings.gif

John, you crack me up lol, always a pleasure to see you're work. Stepping out of the comfort zone is always a little tough, by the way, I cracked up hard on the boat shots, steering with her feet with a drink in her hand, lol, I'm there, loved the theme lol. I've been preoccupied with family matters, a death, and have only had time to rush in and peek lol, then on to the next crisis. May I make a suggestion? the first four, her skin tone seems slightly off? The reason I say this is, she has lovely red hair and the first four, the red is gone? I thought it might be me, but the 5th has the red? Was she one of the ones on the cruise? Lovely gal, and nice shooting. Not sure, I''m on a new laptop and haven't calibrated squat lol.

PS, glad you're doing better, any prognosis on the dunked camera?

Edit to add, just looked thru them again, it may just be the lighting.

    Thanks snapper.

On the skin tone, they are correct, the sun was washing out her hair color a bit BUT if you look at the top of her head in # 1 you'll see red highlight. On the others (the non-green bkgs), she was more in shade so her hair color is more real. She was one of the cruise models and she was a pleasure to work with.

The steer with your feet and drink with your hand is the exact concept I was shooting. Unfortunately it appears that the best concepts don't survive poor execution. As for me, I still like them for the giggle value so thanks for "getting it".clap.gif

Prognosis for the camera is simple. DEAD. Traded back to Canon under the Loyalty program for a 600D.:cry
The 24-105 also dead. $800.00 later, I have a new (used) main lens.

On your family matters, I hope they resolve soon so you can get back to snapping. Best of luck on that.

Sounds like the cruise was fun. Maybe some day lol. I realized the skin was good after posting, and the lighting was the issue, when I saw the red on her top was ok, but the hair was darker. Thanks on the recent loss, that hit the wife really hard. Sorry for you're recent loss also, but a T3i is a decent camera. Not a 5d or such, but not bad, T1i here. The lens, I murmured "ouchie" on, been tempted to bite the bullet several times and get one, but haven't yet. Hey look at this way, now you can do videos also lol. That might open up a whole new market for you lol.

Actually, I had video on the 550D that went swimming. Rarely remembered it was there.

Ahh, how do you like the swivel/tilt screen on the 600? Not trying to hijack the thread by the way, just curious.

To be honest, other than a few snaps to make sure it works, I haven't taken a shot in anger yet.

In any event, the reason I went up to the 600D from the dead 550D was the onboard remote flash control. I have several Phottix Strato radio triggers that I love but indoors I'm gonna test out that IR system.

The tilt screen may or may not come in handy but I don't much like live view so I p[robably won't use it much. Will let you know.

Nice shots again.... I know about the comfort zone. I left mine the last couple days.... Shot in a house without enough room and tried TTL for the shoot.
