so a bit of info--so turns out I'm massively anemic which explains why I'm so tired lately, so very tired. No worries though, it can be easily fixed.

So this is a little tribute to all the tired New Yorkers--yes processed though as in a dream, taken on the cellular, on the only app that still works.

Ah, Liz, you always come through. Great shots taken on a cellphone with inadequate apps.
    Great processing.

Sorry to hear you're not feeling well, Lizz. Even when you're sick, though, look at what you provide us with, haha!

The processing is pretty wild and crazy, but since you've given it context I do like it! The second image is the stronger of the two for me for this reason. I am immediately drawn towards the sleeping woman, which fits your theme, in #2, but when I look at #1 it takes me longer to realize where I need to look to find the sleepiness. This is strange, because there are only two subjects here, but to me it's just a bit off.

Is that the I Left the Print in the Washer and Dryer filter? lol3.gif

Seriously, they're both good shots, but #2 works better for me. I find the banding in #1 a little distracting. Love the composition in #2.

Hope you feel more energetic soon.

What is banding? The fingerprint looking thing near the bottom left? Well, more like a wavelength or something. I dunno.

There are two good images in there somewhere, Liz. But...hate hate hate. Sorry. Go back to photography - you're really good at it! rolleyes1.gif

Yes. I suppose it could be the pattern of a blanket, but that doesn't seem as likely as a processing artifact. Dunno, but in any event it draws my attention away from the people.

Thank you all--glad the images themselves worked and some even seemed to like the processing.
Truth be told, I thought I was going to get blasted for posting these, but I liked them so, I had to go ahead anyway.

B.D.--I am, I will. Just good to mix things up a bit sometimes, for me anyway.

I like them, and I don't mind the processing since this is a feeling that you want to accentuate. Now if a whole book like that, then I may skip :-) Nevertheless, on the 2nd photo, is the "original" still available? If so, can you make the right edge a bit less processed?

And be well. Being sick is no fun.

Liz, seriously, B&W magazine loves this kind of stuff. If you can get a dozen of them together it might we worthwhile to enter their next B&W portfolio contest.

I like the gritty feel of these shots... fun to look at!

Hope your recovery is quick! Need your energy in this forum!

And if you feel the recovery is less than 100%, the diagnosis is likely "motherhood"...

Nice...I like the second one better...because I think it works best with your post processing.

    Thanks for sharing.
