I've been taking macro shots with my new Canon 60D and 100mm f2.8 usm.

#9 - Praying Mantis, this guy was probably 5mm long... - Bendigo
#8 & 9 represent my recent purchase of a 430EX II Flash & kenko extension tubes! totalling 68mm.
This pushes my magnification up from 1x to 1.68X
the extra magnification is much harder to manage! I still want an mpe-65 though

try not to centre the subject in middle of frame.
agree shooting in bright sunlight not good, much better to use flash.
