Messed around with some pano attempts on the last trip.

These are my 2nd- 4th attempts at panos. Let me know what you think. :deal

You're doing great with the panos, Aaron! thumb.gif

I don't think the shoreline in #1 is doing anything for the image. It's size dominates the composition and pulls my eye out of the frame.

However, 2 and 3 are gorgeous! I love the light on the distant cliffs in #2 and the sky is just unbeatable in #3. Perfect use of the pano format.

Beautiful light a colours in all of them. I think I prefer the 2 over 3, the way the sun lights up the distant cliffs in number 2 gives the image a stronger feeling of depth.thumb.gif

    Wonderful, Wonderful shots

I guess #3 is the winner. Photo #2 is great but I prefer this one with more sky in it. Nice light and colors thumb.gif

Very nice, Aaron. I like the second and third very much. There's nothing wrong with the composition in the first one in theory but in practice I don't care for the foreground.

I like #2 but I also find the contrast in #1 very interesting and I like it too.

#2 for the win. The distant lighting is spectacular. I think the shorline in #1 gives the image some interest with shape...it may make a nice B&W.

Aaron, how many shots comprise #2?

I like #1. The coolness. The colors. The stillness is palpable. I bet the shoreline and the pebbles as they continue under the water would actually be really interesting when printed large. As for 2 and 3, they're both fabulous. I could be wrong, but I bet if you were to punch the contrast a little in #3, it would probably garner the same attention that #2 has in here.

    Very nice.

Chris- thanks for your response. I agree and disagree. There is more of the foreground than I wanted but I wasn't willing to get in the water at this time of year. deal.gif

For me the leading lines of the shore work but there is just a bit too much rock in the lower right.

Thank you all for your comments. They are appreciated. I am torn between the two as I love the light in the 2nd but love the sky in the 3rd. Might work on blending the two just for practice.

Thank you both for your comments.

Don- I wish there would have been something a little more dynamic to have in the foreground but I didn't bring any props with me. :D

Thanks Art- there are 4 landscape orientated shots that make up the 2nd pano.

Wow. I'd love to see that one hanging on a wall. It's hard to get a good perspective looking at panos on a monitor.

    Good stuff, aren't pano's fun.
I think 1 is my favorite, love the soft light and color. The unique composition works for me as well.

Where's the dedication to your art? Van Gogh gave up an ear, surely you wouldn't really miss a toe or two! rolleyes1.gif

But seriously, the new blended pano is wonderful! thumb.gif
