I went to do some editing with picnik via my smugmug account and got the message they are closing in April. What if anything will be the replacement?

Thanks for the quick reply Andy. I enjoyed using pickik for quick & easy edits. Hopefully the replacement will be just as easy to use.

Some alternative cloud based image editors and associated tools can be found in these links. Be sure that you read the EULA carefully, specifically in regards to image rights.

    Hi, Andy
How do you know there will be a replacement for Picnik? I hope you are right. Please let me know if something comes up. I would most appreciate it. Don't understand why Picnik doesn't privately market the program. I would be willing to pay for it. It is the BEST!

Most anticipatedly (is that really a wordl), oh well,
    Sincerely,
    Sandi

I don't use it so not sure if there's a subscription fee involved, but Picasa (free -the downloadable program) has a built-in "edit in Picnik" button. Just fwiw....

Picasa like all other google owned services get worse with every "improvement." Since Picasa added the new Java albums, they won't even load in my computer. Just venting here Laughing.gif.

None of the editing programs out there are half as good or as user-friendly as Picnik. I hope the Picnik guys come out with something on their own.

I use Faststone and I like and use it enough to have donated to them.

I use it most as an image viewer and image organizer, much more than an image editor. Picasa is free and more capable as an image editor IMO.

Thanks so much for your answer ziggy! Same same for me only I edit also always with it. I'll follow your advice and start trying Picasa, however FS never let me down concerning that!
