Damselfly & Bee Fly

Hi everyone :)
I tried a bit of Colour Splashing on a couple of old photos. Both were taken at midday - the backgrounds were far too bright and distracting so this is a definite improvement! C&C welcome :D

All taken with PowerShot A495, but I'm hoping to get a Lumix FZ45 soon (having manual focus will be very useful for future macro pics!)

    I like to go black and white when things get overexposed, saves a few pics. I might add a little natural color to the legs of the first pic

    Yeah, I usually do just black and white but it seemed a shame to waste such colour! - and for the damselfly especially the sharp lines of the leaves make it difficult for its shape to stand out in greyscale so am pretty pleased :) As for the legs - looking back at the original, I could add some more colour to the wings but the legs were pretty grey to begin with! Thanks for your comment :) Here's the originals for comparison...
