1962 Minimalistic church

1962 Architect Lampens shocked the local population in Oudenaarde (Belgium) with a minimalistic church design. Based on concrete and glass.
Today the chuch still stands in the original state, however concrete rot appears.

    Nice study of some interesting architecture. I'd never heard of concrete-rot before. That's a shame, because it looks like it's built to last a lifetime otherwise.

    Thanks, Concrete-rot happens when the iron inside the concrete is exposed to water and air through small holes in the concrete. Typically when the iron is just under-need de surface. The iron oxidizes (rusts) and expands, this causes the concrete to chip and crack
