Redirecting to Fake SmugMug Pages?!?!

Hi There,

I put up a thread in the SmugMug Customisation forum a few days ago (http://www.dgrin.com/showthread.php?p=1735447#post1735447) and added another post to it yesterday. In that post I typed in my site address (http://NatureImpressions.sumgmug.com), which automatically became a clickable link, but when one clicks on that link it doesn't take one to my site, instead it redirects to two different looking pages (a second attempt brought up a different looking page); both have Smugmug.com written at the top of the page followed by lists of "related sites" but neither pages actually appears to be the authentic SmugMug.

I also noticed that in both cases there isn't the usual SmugMug smily face preceding the URL address up top, instead there's an ordinary globe.

When I click on the link in my signature though, it sends me to direct to my site.

Does anyone know why this has happened and is there anything I can do to prevent it from happening again any time I type the URL link to my site into a post?

Thanks in advance!

    Hi Ashley,

When I look at that link, I see sumgmug.com instead of smugmug.com (as the root).

Could that be it? The misspelling?

Or am I misunderstanding your problem? :)

Dohhh! OK, where's the embarrassed smily-con when you need it ;^. Well spotted my friend, I believe my typo is the exact reason for the misdirected link, silly me - Laughing.gif ;^p

Thanks for the quick response and for setting my mind at ease Ted :^)
