Duplicate Uploads in LR3

I have the LR plugin version 1.0.2.22 installed. When I publish images it will often upload the same image multiple times. Usually twice, and at least once it uploaded the same image three times. It shows up as multiple images in the gallery. Is this a known issue? I apologize if this issue is documented some place and I was just too rock-headed to find it.
Please feel free to post any reworks you do of my images. Crop, skew, munge, edit, share.

Have you tried quitting LR and then going back in and giving it another try? You might also try reinstalling the plugin to the latest version as well:

Can you please contact the helpdesk and get them to help you out with doing a line quality test. I've looked at the logs for your recent uploads...and there are a few where LR has attempted to upload the same file multiple times due to an upload timeout.
There timeouts occur when the time taken to upload a file is excessively long....in your case, over 400 seconds to upload an 6-10 MB file.

Do you use any antivirus, firewall or internet security software? That may be adding to the trouble if it's interfering with the upload process.

1) I choose an image to publish and choose "publish now."
2) The image begins uploading and eventually uploads the entire image. Due to my less than stellar connection it takes a while, but the full image still gets there. It looks great.
3) The SmugMug LR plugin seems to think the image did NOT make it, even though it did, and thus tries to upload the same image again.
4) That second image also arrives to the gallery intact, and yet again the SM LR plugin thinks that it isn't published.
5) Repeat 3&4 until the SM plugin magically decides that one of the several successful uploads is actually successful and marks the picture as published.
6) What I end up with is multiple copies of the same image in the gallery. All look great. I have been going in and deleting the extras.
What this means is that instead of uploading a full 10MB image _one_ time, I'm uploading the full 10MB image multiple times, using up to 30MB of bandwidth instead of just 10MB. What that means is that it slows down my iffy connection even more, creating a sort of domnio effect. I'm going to switch from the "PUT" method to "POST" to see if things improve at all.

Make sure to run the test when no other upload or download is taking place.

For the time being, when publishing via Lightroom, try to not have any other uploads or downloads going on the *same* connection to not slow down Lightroom.
