I went down to my usual hunting grounds last week, but most of it is a very ugly brown. Most of Korea is blanketed by snow, but my area sits in a basin and gets very little precipitation all year round. So, I stuck on my trusty 80-200 f2.8 and decided to see what color I could squeeze out of the landscape:

My fave is the second - lush warm colors are quite the contrast from the third. I would never have known snow to be around from that second pic. Lush bokeh too. :)

Well done, Colin. Interesting compositions in very good light. Like all three equally. thumb.gif

Thank's y'all! I enjoy shooting details like this, especially if the broader landscape isn't all the pretty.

I like the color theme you have going on here. Beautiful abstracts with nice lighting. Great work.

Thanks David, I appreciate you taking the time to look at them. I wasn't consciously looking for any particular scheme, but I do tend to prefer earth tones over others.

Each one of the pictures have a different personality based on composition, colors and DOF.
If I were to pick just one, I will be totally undecided, that's why I'll go for all three.thumb.gif

I really appreciated you saying that! With Korea being so heavily urbanized, I had to learn how to focus on the details. In the beginning, this seemed like a con, but now I am glad of it as it has forced me to see the landscape in a new way.

Cheers for your comment. Everyone seems to see something different in these and have their own favorites. I'm not able to choose, of course!
