arrange combo gallery (my plus smart photos)

I have a gallery with my photos, then I added some photos from my brother's smugmug gallery via "smart" rules... it worked great, seamless. Then I wanted to add more of my pictures to the end of this gallery, but they were mixed in with the ones from my brother's site.

I went into "arrange photos" but it only shows MY pictures.

I tried the "Arrange checkbox" in smugmug style, it seemed like it might work, but the changes would not stick and seemed to give random results next time I viewed it.

Can we arrange photos in a gallery retrieved via rules? (I know you couldn't do this when this feature first arrived, but I thought I read somewhere this had been fixed)

Hi DMC,

Could you give us a link to your gallery where you're seeing this? You should be able to sort and arrange images that are collected or added using Smart Gallery rules.

I pm'd the gallery to you...

when I use "arrange photos" tool, I see my 42 pics, but none of the 13 "collected" ones... I see all the pics when viewing though

update... the gallery I want to arrange has 42 of my pics, and 14 pics "collected" from another smugmug account (designated as "family") via rules.

When viewing pictures, I could see all 56 pictures, no problem. I wanted to change the order of these pics, but when using the Tools-->Arrange-->Arrange Photos tool, I could only see my 42 pics.

Smugmug help desk confirmed this was happening (when they logged in as me) and submitted the problem to development.

A Workaround was found though. While viewing pictures, If I checked the "Arrange" checkbox, I could move them around. In Smugmug style, this doesn't work good since I have 3 pages of pictures, but I found out that the "Arrange" checkbox is also available in the Thumbnail Style! Make sure you check the box that allows all pics to be displayed on one page. Then click on "Arrange" checkbox...This worked as good as the Drag and Arrange Tool, so I was able to sort all the pics the way I wanted.
