#1 for sure. I tried to get something similar, the smoker huddled away from the wind trying to light a smoke and I failed miserably. It's hard to get this shot because you have to have just the right angle and have to be pretty close to get it.

    I like this very much.

Yeah, I like the first one a lot. The second is a decent shot, but the color looks a little off to me--too blue, I think.

    Thanks Folks
Richard, that is how seen (WB Checked ). I thought the same, I believe the tint on glass his blue clothing
blue in rug all contribute to that. I did try B&W version but did not like how the background was presented.
To me the background here and it's color is important to the image.

First one is great. I really like it a lot.

The color on the second one is off for sure, but I wouldn't bother messing with it.

Really like them both. Grew up just a few blocks from there (I'm guessing this is near La Cienega). Well captured and presented.

The first one really is something special. And the angular elements on the white wall are what make it so.

I agree. I think, for me, it's because the left side of the image is all linear and square, and there she is on the right, just a big mess of anything but straight lines--except for that cigarette, which she protects like a prize.

B.D. is right, it is special.

    Thanks again.
Always nice to hear that viewers see/feel similar to the photographers
reason for the what/why of the image.
